Overview
Our business started as a polishing job shop in the mid 1940′s. Today the basic equipment is not that far removed from what it was sixty years ago.
The basic concept seems simple enough. Sand metal with abrasives starting with an aggressive grit graduating to less aggressive grits, then repeat the process with aggressive polishing wheels & compounds until the desired finish is achieved.
Specialized equipment has been designed to efficiently polish oversized items such as heavy truck fuel tanks and wheels, while “Timesaver” machines process flat material by sanding surface material to a desired finish that can be left grained, or polished to a mirror finish on a polishing lathe.
A portion of our business requires us to be flexible enough to perform finish grinding on customers parts prior to plating or powder coating. Castings are sanded and polished smooth, and welds are ground smooth before moving to other departments for final finishes.
